ONE LAST THING>>>> Here is a list of testimonials from the bottom of the home page:
looking to build one of these in utah.
Sweet! Let me know if I can help. I’m from SLC, UT
I live in Idaho Falls.
Is there an advantage to building a tank as opposed to a room with a shallow pool in it.
where do you get your salt from. Are there places that get it from the great salt lake?
I would think it’s cheaper to keep a tank of water warm, than a room. Although a room seems very cool! I show where I get my epsom salt in the plans.
when I purchase the tank plans how do I recieve them?
You will have access to the site which has all the plans. One time fee gets you access forever. Sweet deal! lol
interestingggg. I want to build my own tank
Shane, I am based in the UK and your paypal will not accept my address or card details. Can we arrange another way to pay or alternatively get access anyway? thanks
I don’t know how else to do it.. it’s an automated process. I would say load a balance on a paypal account you have, then pay with that.
Do you know the outer dimensions of the completed tank?
I don’t… but with plumbing and things you’ll need at least a 10′ x 12′ room with 8′ ceilings. Otherwise you’ll be rigging things to fit.
Hey Shane,
I was curious if your plans have a uv filter system? I live in a co-op and we would be using our tank several time a day. The place I began floating said they filter the water three times between users; does your system work similarly. The filter and heat are my main questions, otherwise you design looks amazing. Thanks for what you’ve done here; very cool:)
Yes my plans do have a UV filter. Thanks for the comments! I hope you’re floating soon.
Hey Shane,
I only have 7 foot ceilings. I saw your comment about the dimensions and I was wondering if t is essential to have 8 foot ceilings?
7ft ceilings will work, but it will be a little trickier construction because you won’t be able to fully open the tank and work inside it.
I was wondering if this tank could be used in a commercial setting. . .is it possible to turn the water over in a manner between use?
Thanks a bunch.
I don’t know commercially. The pump isn’t capable of a quick turnover, but it could be suped up and have different settings maybe.
I ‘m really interested in making one of these tanks. I’m an Architect and contractor and if I like the build I will implement them into my homes. The only thing I don’t like is the exterior so I might modify it. Is their only on kind of tank you use?
That’s the only tank I’ve built, but I have designed a new tank for home use that can be found here: http://zenfloatco.com
It should release here in the next couple months.
I am curious how long the plastic containing unit is as I am 6’3″ and don’t want feet touching. What is the plastic piece’s product name, price, and purchasing location before I get in deep here…
I have all the info once you join the site. 6′ 3″ should be fine though. I have a buddy who’s that tall that floated.
Hi Shane,
Once you order the plans, are they printable? Or only on line? I don’t have a lap top so wouldn’t be able to have the computer near where I am going to build this.
Also have you ran across any one with a different way of opening the top? I live in a old house. I would have to put this in my basement and the floor joyce’s are at about 6′ 3″ I have many knots on my head LOL. Or is there any way to make the frame work of it sit lower. Thanks for your reply.
John
We’re working on new printables, but they are available right now. I’ve thought a lot about a different lid type option, but I also don’t have any plans for one. If you are interested I would like to get your custom lid design (if you do one). Would you be interested in documenting your build? I could help with supply $ ?

Do you have a link to your kickstarter? I am interested in the Zen Float tent. Thanks,
B
yeah follow the official facebook page http://facebook.com/zenfloatco
Thanks for your nice plans!
Building my version of it in south germany.
Hi Shane,
Thanks for posting your plans here, and congratulations on the Zen project; I see those tanks advertised all over. A friend and I are looking to set up commercially with DIY tanks, and we’d like to look your plans over. I’m the materials guy; she’s got the money. So I’m wondering if I’ll be able to view the plans if she pays for them. Is the site password accessed so that she can just share the password with me or are the plans downloadable (either of which would work for us), or is the ability to view restricted per computer somehow (which wouldn’t work for us)?
